2.4.    However, CIT will not be applicable to those students who might have applied for concurrently pursuing CIC with  BCA and/or MCA in view of the revised eligibility criteria.

This has to be considered in the context of the discussion in that document. The preceding paragraphs speak of those who had already applied for CIC standalone programme....it is said that the same will be converted to CIT after obtaining their concurrence. In para 2.4 it mentions that those MCA students who already applied for CIC concurrently to fulfill the eligibility criteria would not be required to switch over to CIT.

However, this was true as on May 2009. Now, CIC is no longer available anyway...so CIT has to be opted for in any case.

Yes...CIT should be required as per their rules. CIT just replaces CIC...otherwise the conditions remain the same. Its better to go to the RC and get a clarification on this issue.

Hi,
I have enroled for MCA Jan 2010 and i dont have methematics background and i completed bachelors degree in arts. as per the ignou website it says we should take CIC along with CS-60. As CIC is discontinued do i need to enrol for CIT?

But when i submitted my application the concern authority has just enroled me for CS-60 Alone ( I Paid Rs:1100/- extra for this ).

Can any one clarify whether enrolment to CIT is reqired if we have Non-Computers Bachelor Degree.

Thanks in advance.

Rajini
